The Bureau of Engraving and Printing's (BEP) takes you to the official government site of the BEP for some interesting information and facts on all of our US currency.

US Papermoney will take you to a site that is full of information on everything you ever wanted to know about our US currency. Almost everything anyway. Very cool site!

The American Numismatics Association (ANA) is a professional organization for those who want to further learn about US coins and currency.

PMG and PCGS are the only two TRUE independent currency-grading services available. I highly recommend these two companies for those of you who want to get their currency certified and graded for insurance purposes or simply, a peace of mind.

This is a nice clean problem free 1918 $1,000 Frederal Reserve Note from the popular San Francisco district. I have owned many of these 1918 $500 and $1,000 bills and quite frankly most of the have had issues. This one does not! There are NOT any rips, tears, pinholes or bank marks. It is all there. The margins are even especially on the back where it faces up like a GEM note.

For the person who does not need or want to spend $40,000 to $85,000 for an AU or UNC note then this is a great type note. The serial number is L8926A and it is housed in a very conservative PCGS-VF20 holder. It is priced close to Greensheet prices. When was the last time you saw that?

Can you possibly imagine what $1,000 would buy you in 1918 right after WWII? You could have bought a house, a plane or a car or a very good time with a bunch of flappers if nothing else.
