5/12/2014 - Denver, CO--I just got back from the Rocky Mountain Coin and Currency Show held in Denver this past Sunday. Let me tell you, I really liked the show and the two young men who put it on.

New owners Chuck Hays and Jaben Broach did an outstanding job of putting on the show. The dealer setup and move in was especially nice and easy. All of the display cases and lights were brand new as were the tables and chairs. This was my first time setting up or attending the Denver Coin Expo and I was impressed with the determination and attitude of Jaben and Chuck to make this show work. I understand that Chuck and Jaben recently took over the Denver Coin show and expanded the floor space and added additional dealer base. Although this show was what I would call a medium size show of about 150 dealers, I can definitely see the potential for growth, especially with these two young men running it. I will definitely add them to my road show list. Denver has an untapped market for good paper money. It is interesting that I had a lot of customers tell me that they hoped that I would return to their show as they had never seen such a variety of nice notes that I was offering. The Denver Expos show has two shows a year, in mid May and in late October. I had 6 table and 13 cases of nice notes to show off and offer. Obviously being in Denver the gold nugget city, my gold nugget display was a bit hit.

I did get the opportunity to acquire a very nice set of 1896 $1, $2 and $5 educational notes. All three were nicely centered and problem free and the $2 educational was especially PPQ nice. I also picked up a 1922 $100 Gold Cert in a PCGS-45PPQ holder along with a 1928 $100 Gold Cert in PCGS-55PPQ. Being in Denver I purchased a 1902 $20 PB form The Denver National Bank and a 1929 $10 FRBN from the 1st National Bank of Florence, CO. I also picked up several other nice notes. These notes should be on my website by this week end.

The TNA Texas Coin show is this weekend May 16th to 19th. I will be attending but not sitting up. After that I am in town until June 7th for the Long Breach show. After that I will be in Memphis the following weekend for the Memphis Show and then straight to the Baltimore show. June will be a very busy month as I have three weekend shows. If there is anything you want or need please feel free to contact me at 214-769-9936.

For those of you who are new to my website you will notice that I specialize in Large size and small size notes in the 35PPQ/EPQ to 58EPQ/PPQ graded notes. I find these the best value notes on the market. I do not like to sell pressed or cleaned notes. I do however carry higher graded notes up to 67PPQ/EPQ as well.
