This 1934 $10,000 bill is interesting as it is one of only three $10,000 bills from the New York District that is NOT a Binion Note. There are 103 1934 $10,000 bills known from the New York district and 100 of them were from the famous Binion Hoard that was on display in the Binion Horseshoe Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas from 1954 to 1999. All the 100 $10,000 Binion notes have four digit serial numbers that ranges from serial numbers B00002021A to B00003740A. The other three non Binion notes are all 3 digit serial numbers of B000000366A, B000000942A and this one serial number B00000989A. It is also has a real neat radar serial number of 989. Over the years I had heard that theses three $10K notes existed and after 15 years of searching I finally located one by accident at the FUN Show in Orlando on Jan 11, 2013. A Chinese gentleman had owned it for years. The other two are known by serial numbers only and no one has seen them, until this one magically appeared. I was very excited to find it and own it. I am doing a special insert in my book about theses three non-Binion notes and now I have the scans of one to prove they do exist. This is the first and only one that has surfaced so far since 1934. This note has not yet been graded and would probably be a VF. There is a small professionally done ,argin repair at the bottom below the first L in Dollars. You may not even notice it. It does not take away from the note at all. This may be the last time you will ever see a genuine 1934 $10,000 bill for $70,000. It wont last long.
