The Bureau of Engraving and Printing's (BEP) takes you to the official government site of the BEP for some interesting information and facts on all of our US currency.

US Papermoney will take you to a site that is full of information on everything you ever wanted to know about our US currency. Almost everything anyway. Very cool site!

The American Numismatics Association (ANA) is a professional organization for those who want to further learn about US coins and currency.

PMG and PCGS are the only two TRUE independent currency-grading services available. I highly recommend these two companies for those of you who want to get their currency certified and graded for insurance purposes or simply, a peace of mind.

POP2/1 finer. I know most of you collectors have never seen one of these. It is a 1928 $100 Gold Certificate STAR note. There are less than 9 or 10 known and this is the SECOND FINEST known according to the PMG and PCGS pop reports with a PCGS-50 being higher. This note along the 1928 $50 Gold Certificate STAR note that I have on the website came out of an old 1980 collection. The $50 Gold STAR is also the second finest known. Neither star notes have ever been offered to the public or through any auction house. Both star notes are new to the census!

PMG has graded a mere three of thse $100 Gold Star notes with the highest grade being a PMG-50. The last record of one selling was earlier this year in a PCGS-20 with noted repairs that sold for almost $20,000. I've only owned one other and it was in Fine condition with a small edge repair. I sold it four years ago for $12,500. PCGS has notated minor repair on the holder, but no one can find the alleged repair, including me. I called PCGS to find out where it is, so far no reply. I do not believe there is any repair at all. I am going to resubmit it. However it really does not matter. Check it out on the large scans, it is absolutely stunning without the wear and tear. There are no rips, tears or writting that I can see. the burnt-orange colors are very bright with no fading as is so common on these notes. For additional photos or any questions you can reach me at 214-769-9936.
