Fr.-2404* This is a very rare gold certificate star in any condition. It is a 1928 $50 Gold Certificate Star. There are about 17-20 of these known and I have owned 9 of them over the years, including the 2nd and 3rd finest known. The serial number is *00015192A and is in a PMG Very Fine -20 holder. The only known uncirculated example surfaced last year and sold in a private sale for over $100,000. Most of the known examples have repair issues or are in very low grade. Even then, they sale for a lot of money. I was lucky to acquire this example and am proud to be able to offer it to my clients. There are NO rips, tears, pinholes or any other repairs on this example. I would be willing to bet anyone out there that this is a nicer note than the holder indicates. There is NOWAY that this is a VF-20 note. This would be worth getting re graded by PCGS. This would make a great example for a star of gold certificate collector.

I now have a complete set of 1928 gold certificate stars including the $10* gold star, $20* gold star, $50* gold star and the ultimate $100* (7 known) Gold Certificate stars. I am excited to have these available to offer to my clients. No one else come even close to that! They are all offered here on this website.
