This is the ever popular 1896 $5 Silver Certificate which is part of the three note Educational Series.

The Educational notes are considered the most beautiful of all US Currency notes ever printed. This $5 notes shows Electricity as the most dominant force in the world. This note was from a painting by Walter Shirlaw and engraved by George F.C. Smillie. The serial number of this $5 Educational is 52388 and it resides in a seriously under graded PMG Very Fine 25 holder. There are absolutely NO rips, tears, pinholes, bank marks or heavy soiling. This is about the finest VY-25 you will ever see. This is easily a VF-30 to VF-35 note. For the person who wants a REAL NICE problem free type note, this is the one!It is definately priced to sell.
